"Kya"
Kya is a prime example of the Versatile Weimaraner! Her natural talent and extreme intelligence has allowed her to excel in every venue we’ve participated in, including passing the VST test to become our breeds 7th Champion Tracker. Kya spent 5 weeks in field training to polish her skills as a finished gundog… it paid off with 2 legs towards her Master Hunter title in the first two tests entered and a 3rd leg in the fall of 2010. She has been so busy with her performance career that she has had limited ring time, but still has garnered a BOB and 5 conformation pts. Kya has passed her natural ability on to her 1st and 2nd litter with Zinc, these pups are already titling and show great promise in the field, tracking and show ring.... We expect the same versatility from her upcoming litter with Cool.
With Kya's style, intelligence and drive, the sky is the limit as she continues to fulfill our every expectation and has a personality big enough to fill both our homes!
Kya's sire is the handsome "Frankie" AM/AUST BIS CH Pewterun Greydove Blackmagic; he finished his American Championship with back to back 5 point majors by 9 months. Frankie then left for Australia to become part of the Greydove Kennel, where he was a 3 time Best In Show All Breed winner, 2 x Best of Breed Brisbane Royal winner, Canberra Royal Best of Breed 2006. Her Dam is the beautiful "Katie" AM/INT CH PewterRun's Kiss Me Kate BROM, who also finished her bench championship with back to back 5 point majors. Not only is Kya the daughter of a BROM, she is the grand-daughter of 3 BROM ( Breed Register Of Merit Award from Weimaraner Club of America for producing top quality pups) Weimaraners; "Betsy" CH Silversmith Pewterun Betsy Ross BROM, "Hudson" BIS CH Camelot's Go For The Gold BROM, and "Roscoe" AM/CAN CH Carousel's Roscoe T Picotrane BROM.
