About Chris...
I have never been without a dog since birth. While other neighborhood teens baby-sat, I was walking dogs and pet-sitting. Shortly after moving out of my parents’ home I bought my first personal dog to train; a Labrador retriever named Chief. Training dogs professionally began in 1985 and has never stopped. Currently I teach public obedience classes four nights a week, weekly tracking; as well as offering private behavioral work in clients’ homes.
My love affair with the gray dogs began in 1991 with “Bart”, a 5 five year old male Weim who was in need of a new home. It was a quick immersion into the Weim world when my new boy turned out to be a son of two very well known dogs… CH Nani's Hawaiian Punch X CH Sanbars Mighty Movin Molly; Bart was an excellent dog to begin learning AKC dog sports with. Next came ”Tawny” and "Sampson", followed shortly by a once in a life time dog; "Izzy" Sunrise again Sweet Izabelle CDX,TDX, NA, NSD, NRD, UKC CD AG1, TDI, TT. Then there was Izzy's daughter, my dearest Rainey who came into this world by my hands and passed with them still holding her 11 years later. Not to forget even one special Weim, there has also been Willy, Wade, Banner, Ralph and Fritz who were all remarkable dogs and teachers in my life.
My house is always filled with the love of these gray dogs, “Raven”, my 6 yr old blue rescue and Smooch live with me full time. Linda and I are shared by Kya who likes to divide her time equally between both homes and Doppler who lives with Linda, but comes to visit often… all keep us entertained, broke and very, very busy.
